Today’s painting was a mistake! At least the fist version.
I painted the photo below, but I did not like the outcome. Without giving it much thought, I grabbed a piece of hard plastic and scrapped most of the painting away, leaving some at the bottom. The funny thing was that it turned into abstract art after applying the bright red, magenta, yellow and orange colors :D.
Day 5 painting inspired by the photo of Carla Whelan from PMP:

Have a wonderful day! And thanks for stopping by 😀
I don’t see this as an abstract, but a clear challenge to the passion of the sky. I admire your courage.

As always you are brilliantly displaying your abstract art in a wonderful way. I would say it again what a perfect use of bold colors in this one. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 🙂

Wow Patricia, this piece just pulled me right in. Fabulous vibrancy in your color choices – I sense that you feel color as it explodes onto the canvas.

Sometimes “scraping” or any form of attempted erasing will crack an idea for something else. So don’t let that bother you.

That looks pretty! I love all the colours. I think it’s funny how it wasn’t intentionally supposed to turn out that way. 😉

Hello dear Patricia!
Great post, as always!
I would like to ask you something. I am deeply and totally interested in making ebooks. As you know I write books and publish it. Now I wanted to create also their ebook versions and put them in one of sites to sell. What website would you offer to me? Smashwords? If yes, then why? what privileges has it? Thanks in advance!!
Warmly,
Arlen

Hello Arlen, thanks for stopping by 😀
I am not an expert in the ebook industy, but I could give you my humble opinion regarding my own experience and some many articles I read about this subject. I did publish my short story through Smashwords and the truth is that it felt like a breeze. Smashwords has a step by step instruction on how to convert your file to an ebook, which is absolutely amazing. On the other hand, the new system on Amazon has it’s benefits. They also have a step by step book on how to convert your work to be ready for their system, but I have no experience doing it through them. I have heard though, that there is no comparison to the traffic you get with KDP (Amazon). They will get the rights to sell your book for about 3 months, and then you could upload it everywhere else, which I think it is a good trade off, when you compare the benefits.
I hope this helps you decide what to do. I wish you much success!!!
Warm regard,
Pati

I think that I’ll try Smashwords as well. I tried Lulu.com, but there were some technical problems I could not overcome.
