I was debating between whether or not to paint flowers today, because I wanted to try painting structures this week, but I could not find a photo. I will search my albums tonight and see what I find.
I love loose brush strokes, which is what I am aiming for in this piece. I used a primed gessoboard – 6 x 6, toned with magenta acrylics. (I remembered to take pictures through out the painting process, Yay! ) I decided to use a white-yellow background and even though I like it, next time I might use one of my stronger color combinations… like a candy apple red π
Thanks for stopping by! π

Oh Patricia is a fabulous piece!! I’m loving the hint of magenta coming through the pale background, which is not clashing with the sunflowers at all – it’s just a great combination! Wonderful loose soft knife work ~
