Painting: 30 in 30 – Day 28

Today, I was not sure what to paint. I started working on several paintings that I felt I wanted to add or change something. Then, I stumbled upon some palm trees. I added paint, but didn’t like the colors, so I took some away. After playing around with it and experiment some more, it morphed into a strange abstract painting.

It was not my intention, but I kind of liked it ๐Ÿ˜€

Have a wonderful Saturday! ๐Ÿ˜€

I am off to IKEA, Yay!!!

Painting: 30 in 30 – Day 24

Hectic, is the perfect word to describe my day.

I still have tons of things to do, but I made time to paint and to say hello and thank you all for your well wishes yesterday. I really appreciate the support.

Which, by the way, went amazing! I met so many fellow artists. We spent hours talking about art!!! and shared tips and ideas. We also did the interviews. I was a bit nervous, but at the end I made it through alive!! ๐Ÿ˜€ We’ll know for sure how I did after the release day, which is after the event ย ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

For today painting, I decided to work on the Sail Boat, which was something I thought I finished, but I felt the ocean water, clift and boat where to dark. So, I worked on the colors and tried to loosen my brush strokes, but after I uploaded the picture, I wanted to change a few more things. For now, this will have to do… heehee

I will talk to you later (or maybe tomorrow :D)

Thanks for visiting!

Painting: 30 in 30 – Day 22

I started painting about noon! So, I am surprised that I am all done.

Maybe, it is the incentive that Rob is taking me out to eat Choros a la Chalaca.ย It is a Peruvian dish, which I love!!! Imagine, a half a dozen cooked muscles, topped with ton of raw red onions, dressed up with lime, tomatoes and cilantro. If you’re the adventurous type, I highly recommend it.ย The reason for my excitement is that we rarely go to Peruvian restaurants. He is not too fond our food… heehee, but I love him anyway!!

Day 22 painting: oil on gessoboard, 5 x 7.

Have a wonderful Sunday! I am out the door!

PS. I forgot to sign it… Just noticed! I will do it later ๐Ÿ˜€

Painting: 30 in 30 – Day 21

Every time I saw a Mural or thought about doing one, I felt intimidated.

I am not sure if it was the thought of public display, the size of it or knowing I cannot go back and change it. In any case, I was accepted to take part in a community project call “The Good Wall“. This wall is an outdoor gallery of murals painted around The Good Will Store at la Little Habana, Miami, Florida.

Robert (my boyfriend) went with me. He was my photographer of the day and was also very patient.

It was raining hard when we got there, but we knew it was not going to beย for long. In the meantime, we drove the car into the alley, behind the store and looked for the space I was going to paint. The spot we found was high up, so I stepped on the roof top of the car and got ready.

I was surprised that it felt so natural as if I had done this before. It was a great experience. I had so much fun, that I told Rob that I will paint a small mural at home, probably the small wall beneath the eating counter. He approved! ๐Ÿ˜€

After I was done, I sent the picture to the director of this project and she replied: “Gorgeous”.ย Good enough for me!

Painting: 30 in 30 – Day 20

It has been a hectic day, and will certainly continue to be, at least until tomorrow.

I have run around all day. On my list of things were to pick up balloons for my niece’s birthday celebration tonight (Happy Birthday Sabri!! :D) and going to Home Depot to get several sample paints.

I will be using these to create a painting on the outside wall of a commercial building. The space measures 5 x 5 feet. Iย am excitedย ! This will be my first mural ๐Ÿ˜€

I will upload some pictures on my next post, being that I will use it as my daily painting. So, you will see it for sure!

Day 20 painting: oil on gessoboard, 6 x 6… I should title this piece – In a Hurry -. heehee (not my best work, but at least I stick to the challenge…Yay!)
