It was around 10 am when I noticed the time this morning, and I had not even made my bed!
I woke up early to read a chapter of Eckhart Tolle book “Practicing the Power of Now“… Amazing by the way. Â Well, just to give you an idea, here is a quote from his book:
When you surrender to what is and so become fully present, the past ceases to have any power. The realm of Being, which had been obscure by the mind, then opens up. Suddenly, a great stillness arises within you, an unfathomable sense of peace. And within that peace, there is great joy. And within that joy, there is love. And at the innermost core, there is the sacred, the immeasurable, That which cannot be named.
I had to ponder on this for a few minutes before I continued to read a couple more pages. I am not going to get into details, but it was mind-boggling (as it has many times before, and each time is different). I called my sister, whom had already finished reading this book. Well, we spent about two hours talking about the meaning of and what it meant to us. In Spanish we say Filosofando, which might translate to philosophize(ing). We do this often and we love it, but today was longer than usual and that is why am posting late.. heehee 😀 What a great day to start one’s day!
In any case, today painting was fun to create. I wanted to try a different technique, so this is the result. I used the pre-toned based on gessoboard 6 x 6, oil painting. I set up my still life, which is a shoe box with a piece of plastic table-cloth (it doesn’t weigh a thing). I remembered to take some pictures, but like always at the end I get so into the moment, that I forget to take more pictures.
As always, thanks for visiting, for your comments, likes and for sticking with me through out my process. I am super-duper grateful! 😀
